Connector Arrays for Transient Voltage Suppression
PR
A UNIQUE APPROACH TO ESD PROTECTION
SurgX® suppressors by Bussmann provide electrostatic
discharge (ESD) protection in telecom, data processing,
and many other electronic applications. These arrays
can be attached directly to the connector, completely
reducing the need for the additional circuit board real
estate usually required for traditional TVS devices. They
are ideally suited for low voltage, high data rate, microprocessor-based circuits. In addition to standard arrays
for widely used D Sub and RJ type connectors, custom
configurations are easily accommodated. The SurgX
array products utilize unique polymer-based materials for
the suppression of the fast transient voltages caused by
ESD, in conformance with IEC 1000-4-2 and MIL-STD883C.
