APPLICATION INFORMATION
Care should be taken when designing OC-48/STS-48/STM-16
systems. High speed analog PCB techniques should be used.
Location of system oscillators is critical, as close proximity to
switching power supplies and surrounding logic can induce noise
that is within the loop bandwidth of the oscillator. When using a
single ended output, the unused output must be terminated.

The high speed clock outputs of the GV94341B are bandwidth
limited outputs which appear as a sine wave. Bandwidth limiting
on the outputs minimizes higher frequency components as a result
of fast rise and fall times. These clock outputs drive a 50 ohm
transmission line environment. Careful layout of these signals is
critical.

applications. Powered by a single 3.3 Vdc power supply, the
