Model 2953 offers a highly reliable system for transporting
serial digital component video and
embedded audio over 80 km of optical fiber.
Transmission data rates of 1.5 Gb/s
with a BER of <10-12 ensure that the
system maintains optimum performance.
1310 nm or 1550 nm operation increases
system flexibility.
The link supports SMPTE 292M, full bandwidth
HDTV transmission, and SMPTE 348M
transmission.

®
The Force HDTVLinx Model 2953 High Definition Serial Digital Component Video Fiber Optic Link provides an
uncompressed 1.485 Gb/s system designed to transport serial digital video and audio over optical fiber. Optically isolated
DFB optics and internally stabilized output power enhances the system’s performance. The Model 2953 provides the
broadcast industry with a reliable transmission system that transports HDTV signals exceeding 80 km without system
degradation. The state-of-the art, SMPTE 292M compliant system offers broadcasters a seamless method of operating a
studio-to-post production link or studio-to-transmitter link over fiber optic cable.
